In 1972, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) declared that the use of fine granular solid fertilizers (powder form) contributes to air pollution during manufacturing, packaging, handling, and application.
To address this issue, the EPA endorsed suspension fertilizer technology, which involves wetting solid fertilizers to reduce environmental pollution, improve handling efficiency, and enhance the concentration of nutrients compared to traditional solid fertilizers.
