Sugar Beet Cultivation in Egypt

Sugar beet plays a crucial role in developing both agricultural and industrial communities. It enables the establishment of processing factories as well as livestock and poultry farms, which benefit from field residues such as green tops and root crowns. Additionally, byproducts from sugar beet processing, like beet pulp, can be mixed with molasses to produce high-quality animal feed.

Sugar beet thrives in regions with a mild to cool climate, making it a key crop in Mediterranean countries and across Europe. Its origins trace back to the former Soviet Union, where it was first widely cultivated.
