Root rot is one of the most significant and dangerous diseases threatening the sustainability of agriculture in both old and new Egyptian soils. Regardless of the irrigation methods used—be it drip, flood, spray, or pivot—and regardless of the water source, whether surface or groundwater, root diseases remain the biggest challenge faced by farmers.
