Passion fruit (scientific name: Passiflora edulis) belongs to the Passifloraceae family. It is one of the tropical fruits originally native to Latin America and is cultivated in several countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, the United States, Australia, India, the Philippines, and Thailand.
It can also be grown successfully in the Egyptian climate. In this article, I will provide an overview of this tree, often referred to as the “fruit of the rich.”
