Climate Change and Its Impact on Grape Production in Egypt

Climate change is one of the most significant challenges facing grape production in Egypt. Several factors contribute to this issue, including:

  • Increased greenhouse gas emissions
  • Excessive use of pesticides and fertilizers
  • Burning of agricultural waste, particularly rice straw

Agriculture as a sector is responsible for approximately 15.5% of total greenhouse gas emissions.
